Study abroad course

TOEFL is important for students who wish to study abroad in countries such as America, Canada, England, Australia etc.  Each university has a designated score in order to enroll.  Therefore, we will help establish your target score and create a lesson that is ideal for you.

The teachers here also have experiences studying abroad, so any concerns or questions you have not only about the TOEFL test, but also life in a foreign country we can help you with!

What is TOEFL?

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) is a standardized test that is used to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers who want to enroll in English speaking universities.  Currently, the test is used in over 130 countries and 9000 institutions.

TOEFL iTP (Internet based) is the more widely used version and tests 4 skills; reading, listening, speaking, and writing.

TOEFL PBT (paper based) is available in limited areas.  It tests 3 skills; reading, grammar, and reading.

TOEFL scored are valid for 2 years after the test date.

Class Types

Starter (Never taken TOEFL) Goal: iBT 60 PBT 500

Practice basic grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation to help boost Listening and Reading scores.  

Building a solid base will help grow a strong foundation to reach higher levels more smoothly.

Beginner Goal: iBT 60-80 PBT 500-550

Continue to build upon grammar and vocabulary levels. 

With pronunciation the focus will be on similar sounds to give a boost to the Listening and Speaking sections.  

Writing activities will also be introduced to help build upon basic sentence structure.  

Intermediate Goal: iBT 80-100 PBT 550-600

Vocab: Practice with synonyms to help build vocabulary immensely

Listening: Practice with longer conversations to help build endurance and note taking skills

Grammar: Focus on individual weak points to help build understanding.

Writing: Getting more acclimated to TOEFL writing topics to help improve format and length.

Advanced Goal: iBT 100-120 PBT 600-670

With a deep understanding of grammar and strong vocabulary base, students will practice with advanced test taking skills to help time management.  

Also practicing a variety of topics for the speaking and writing tests will prepare students to be able to conquer any situation confidently.
